Airways Clinches World Travel Award for PNG

Airways Hotel is Papua New Guinea's leading hotel. That's official. A member of Boutique Hotels and Resorts International, Airways was recently recognised by the World Travel Awards and awarded the "Leading Hotel in Papua New Guinea" tag ahead of three other resorts and hotels within the country.

It is not easy to win such an award in an international bid competing amoung the best in the industry because high standards and exellence are sought after.

For a PNG hotel to be recognised by the travel industry of the world brings prestige so the win by Airways Hotel is good news for the country. The win essentially means hotels and resorts in PNG will vie for similar recognition, lifting their game in the process, drawing more business and giving investors better returns.

Countries that knew little about PNG through such recognition and that is what Airways Hotel, Port Moresby has done because the World Travel Awards is essentially the "Oscars of the Travel Industry".
